Synopsis

Located in Singapore, ILO ILO depicts the relationship between the Lim family and domestic servant newcomer Teresa. Like many Filipino women, she has come to the city in search of a better life. His presence in the family, worsens the tense relationship between them as they Jiale, the small and troubled son, begins to form a special bond with Teresa, who soon becomes a silent part ofthe family. The real problem comes when the Asian financial crisis of 1997 began to be felt in the region and in the same family.
